Troy Junction–Merrygoen railway line

The Troy Junction–Merrygoen railway line is a railway line located in northern New South Wales, Australia. It forms part of a cross-country link from Dubbo in the Central West–Orana to Werris Creek or Muswellbrook on the Main Northern railway line.^[2] This allows goods from the western part of the state to access the Port of Newcastle while bypassing Sydney.^[3]

In December 2025, a timber trestle bridge over Beni Creek was destroyed in a bushfire, forcing grain traffic to be redirected.^[4] The railway line remains temporarily closed until the Australian Rail Track Corporation construct a replacement bridge, which is estimated to be complete in June 2026.^[5]
