True Colors International
True Colors International is a training and consulting company founded on the True Colors System, created by Don Lowry in 1978. The company uses a proprietary four-color model to help individuals and organizations better understand patterns in communication, motivation, behavior, learning preferences, and interpersonal interaction.[1]
The True Colors System was developed as a practical application of temperament theory for education, personal development, communication, and group learning settings. It is used in education, workplace learning, leadership development, team building, and organizational culture programs.
The original True Colors System is based on temperament theory and is often described as related to David Keirsey’s work and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
The model presents personality as a combination of four color preferences, with some preferences appearing more prominently than others. The True Colors System does not describe personality as a single fixed type. It presents personality as a spectrum that may be expressed differently depending on context, role, or environment.
The system is intended to help individuals and groups understand differences in communication, learning, decision making, motivation, and interaction styles.
