Paula learns that she has a terminal illness and has 6 to 8 months to live. They are joined by Paula's father Lorenzo, who is unaware of his daughter's illness and insists that they start their journey in the town where they have had a country house for years. There they will meet Pepe, a good man with noble feelings who is about to divorce Malena, a selfish woman who cheated on him with Rafael, Pepe's own brother.
