Ukholovsky District

Ukholovsky District (Russian: У́холовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 956 square kilometers (369 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Ukholovo.[2] Population: 9,532 (2010 Census);[4] 11,725 (2002 census);[8] 13,509 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Ukholovo accounts for 52.1% of the district's total population.[4]
