From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello! I am 65HCA7, and I have been editing Wikipedia since February 2014. I edited anonymously and occasionally until October 2014, when I created this account. At first I was unaccustomed to editing and was nervous that each edit I made would be seen as nonconstructive, but I have gotten used to Wikipedia and now make over 100 edits per month. Before 20 March 2016, I was known as "Bad Weather 2014", and between then and 22 April 2017 I was "YITYNR".

Stuff about me

Since joining Wikipedia in 2014, I have made almost 5000 edits. My major editing focus since mid 2016 has been vandal fighting with the aid of such tools as rollback, and believe me, I've come across a lot of strange and humorous vandalism in my day. I also engage in routine WikiGnome work, i.e. fixing typos and grammar mistakes, in addition to adding redirects where necessary. I've also removed a good deal of opinion statements from climate sections of articles, in addition to other assorted work around the project.

I have also occasionally performed routine tasks to sandboxes, most notably Draft:Sandbox, which was until late 2015 unpatrolled by bots. These include cleaning the sandbox and reinserting the sandbox header.

My vandal-fighting work also includes semi-frequent reporting to UAA and AIV and occasionally to RFPP.

In general, I enjoy contributing to Wikipedia and don't know what I'd do without it, but my career has not been without incident. I have gotten into several disputes with other editors, as shown on my talk page, of which the most serious was probably over the climate of Sydney in March 2016. Once a sock puppet even vandalised my user talk page, and this page has been vandalised three times in total.

My RfA standards can be seen here.

My weather tastes

Real climates: There aren't any exact or near matches, but so far my favourite real-world climate would be that of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

  • About Wikipedia: A page that tells you about Wikipedia, who writes it, and what it stands for.
  • Sandbox: A page where users can test their editing skills without having them reverted. Please make test edits there instead of on articles, talk pages, or user pages.
  • Help Directory: A page that lists helpful pages that can improve your Wikipedia experience.
  • Abuse Log: An invaluable resource for vandal fighting as it shows what filters are being tripped in real time.
