Dinesh Chandra Rai (born 16 October 1963) is a former Senior Professor & Former Founding Head, Department of Dairy Science & Food Technology, Banaras Hindu University. [1] He was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University in January 2024 by Bihar Governor. [2] He belongs to Reotipur village of Ghazipur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh. [3]

Education and career
Rai completed his B.Sc. in Agriculture from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, and M.Sc. in Dairy Science from Banaras Hindu University as Gold-medallist, and PhD in Dairy Technology from Banaras Hindu University in 1992.[4] [5]
