Bio
I'm a 5th year Science/Engineering Double Degree student, studying at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. If you really want more, check out my RMITCS Student Webspace, although apart from my .plan there isn't much there either.
Edits and Editing Policy
I've made lots of small minor ones, most made before I created this account. I am a self-confessed language nazi, and although I frequently correct errors here and in real life I don't hold against people. Mostly.
I also unbowdlerize profanity (only where the profanity is necesssary) in keeping with WP:Profanity
I often edit to ensure that articles are consistent internationally and don't terms with ambiguous meanings across different English speaking countries. Some of my particular pet peeves:
- "Chips" as food (Potato chips? Fries? Crisps?)
- "Football" (Soccer? Aussie Rules? Gridiron?)
- "Gas" (is that the state of matter or the liquid petroleum? or liquid petroleum gas?)
- "College" (University? Place of residence? Both? Secondary School?)
- Amounts in "dollars" (is that Australian, American or Canadian?)
Rant #1
- Wikipedia is supposed to be an Meritocracy.
- Critics say it is Communist Ochlocracy.
- Fans say it's Democratic.
It's really just a Gerontocracy.
