Greetings worldwide Wikipedians, and Howdy! I am DoctorRyan813, an artist and musician, and I have been editing Wikipedia since 2025. I am interested in all kinds of History, especially Local History, Psychedelia, Psychedelic rock, and religious/spiritual use of entheogens, as well as Philosophy inasmuch as it as it pertains to all things.

I am also very interested in whatever I happen to be reading at any given moment, often on Wikipedia, and making simple grammatical edits or adding helpful wikilinks and references to a page when appropriate.

I am figuring this out as I go and learn something new every time. I am so happy* to be able to contribute and give back a little as I have learned so much over the years from this wonderful resource!

*I do, however, regret that Wikipedia content is being stolen by AI. As an artist, writer, and musician, and general creator and truth-teller, it is unfortunate to say the least that everything I do and create and say online for free is being monetized and weaponized against me. Now, with Grokipedia being created for the sole purpose to scrape and replicate Wikipedia and push far-right talking points while replacing human editors and their lived context with AI slop, this is taken to a whole new level.

In just a few short months of editing Wikipedia, I have seen my contributions scraped by AI in real time, from a YouTube topic page quoting my Wikipedia contributions verbatim five minutes after I typed it, to Google AI hallucinating inflammatory statements about an individual taken out of context from an article I used as a reference for an unrelated topic. This weighs heavily on my conscience. Is telling the truth for free worthwhile if it helps giant corporations turn a profit and enables them to spread lies under the guise of truth? I am unsure. Sometimes I get the impression that we still don't know what we are building here. Yet mama always told me to never be afraid to tell the truth. What is a "21st Century Schizoid Man" to do?...
