Who am I?

Hello to you, I am HazelAlbert and I'm from Lithuania. I edit on Wikipedia mainly because I want to preserve music history, and improve articles. Definitely not the best editor, but I try to do my best.

My interests

My Work

I really dislike stubs, especially music article stubs. So since July 2025 I've been trying to make them at least have a "Background" or "Chart performance" section, and a "Reception" section too, and sometimes a separate chart table if needed. Here are some examples you can see,

  • Time Alone Will Tell (this shows how an empty page can be expanded into a better and a more informational article, and have its Stub assessment changed).

They aren’t huge, but they’re no longer empty — and that’s the important part. I also try to separate big text areas with headings on other articles, which aren't stubs but still need attention.

I've also tried expanding other pages, like the songwriters' Eddie Snyder and Bobby Russell articles. But I'm most proud of the Jerry Vale page, which shows how much information could be added to the short pages that we have now.

Goals

The main goal, of course is to make song and album articles better, (bigger), but for now my goals are:

  • Add missing chart info
  • Expand articles, add reception and background sections
  • And as below this section, to expand all the listed articles, when I finish them I'll add a highlighted Done, to see my progress.

Bold Goals

Charting Albums

The main bold goal I have is to note that an album charted. Either on the discography page, album article, or the singer's article. Now that includes all charting album from 1945-1972, that charted on the Billboard Top LPs. This information will be from Whitburn's chart book. Also, sometimes I will add Cashbox chart data. these are references for later, and the ones I use a lot[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]).

This, of course, will take a long time, but I want for people to see if an album charted or didn't, because a lot of the charting information isn't shown, so people just think that the album didn't chart/wasn't a success, which can be very false.

As of January 25th I completed 48/160 pages, (about 30%). Also a note, I will not add charting album info for bands/singers who don't have a Wikipedia page, (since where would I add the info?) unless there is another way too add them, for example, a singer who was in a band, but the band doesn't have an article, so I'll add it to his page. A couple more things of how I'm doing this:

  • 1. If the charting album has an article. I'll add the chart info, reference, and table chart to its page.
  • 2. If the charting album does NOT have an article, the chart info and reference goes to the discography article/singer's main article
  • 3. If a chart table exists but lacks a reference, I will add a proper citation. The same applies to discography pages.
Cashbox charts

There was another big US music magazine if you, the reader didn't know, named Cashbox, Billboard overshadowed it, and to this day does, for good reason. So an article may show that a song/EP/album charted the Billboard, but not on Cashbox, where it could’ve charted even better, worse, or just had a notable position. The same applies to Record World, but the book with the information for that magazine's charts actually costs money, (unlike the Billboard and Cashbox main chart books), and isn't widely sold so that's for later hopefully! Almost no articles show Record World charts, with the main exception being Connie Francis ones, where I try to include Record World charts, from her discography page. But Of course, everyone including me can find post 1964 chart info from Record World via the magazines, most which are saved on WorldRadioHistory.com, same for Cashbox and Billboard.

Discographies

I also assess discography articles, and make some better. Out of 1,200+ unassessed discography articles, I've assessed all of them, (September 24th). I will be assessing other articles from now on.

What Wikipedia articles have I made?

I love making new wikipedia articles for albums and songs, here's all of them:
