Hello. In a recent edit to the page Urtica dioica, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. 2604:3D08:9476:BE00:A4E3:1537:1BFC:D393 (talk) 06:33, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
PolyBuzz
The PolyBuzz draft was created by me, since PolyBuzz had evidence of stealing artwork, using NSFW, and more terrible stuff. And also, this chatbot sued a 13 year old(I am not joking). And I'm pretty sure that Nyvalk(idk how his channel name is spelled) has made numerous videos about this chatbot, along with other terrible stuff. So, can you help me gather reliable sources about this terrible chatbot? Y3LL0WZ3R (talk) 19:43, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Y3LL0WZ3R Sorry, but no. Besides the fact that I'm not interested in the subject matter, the burden of proving verifiability lies with the editor adding the content in the first place. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk · contribs) 21:45, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
Temporary account IP viewer granted

Hello, UmbyUmbreon. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
- You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
- Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:
- When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
- Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
- Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).
Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! — rsjaffe 🗣️ 04:06, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi! I apologize, I just joined Wikipedia as a creator and I'm still attempting to figure out how it works. Here is my reference for that addition; it is a blog post made by a Korean about the reception and knowledge on Byun's death. Natasha Lorensky (talk) 02:37, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Natasha Lorensky Hi there! That's not a problem at all! I just took a quick look at the reference above, and it doesn't seem like it indicates that the cause of death was a suicide (given the lack of a note), only that the cause of death is still under investigation, so I don't think that stating the cause of death is believed to be suicide is appropriate according to this source. If there is another source that states this unambiguously, or once the cause of death has been determined and reported on by a reliable source, you can feel free to modify your edit accordingly, and include a citation which verifies your addition. Take a look at Help:Referencing for beginners if you need help on adding a citation to an article. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 02:49, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

List of Phobias edit request
{{help me}} Hi, I'm not too sure how editing on Wikipedia works behind the scenes, but I have had two suggestions on the talk page for the "List of Phobias" article for a few days now and haven't gotten a response. I really don't want to be THAT GUY but I do want to help with the list because one of the issues I found greatly impacts the lists accuracy in my opinion. I just noticed you were the most recent to reply to the talk page so I went to you. I really am so so so sorry if this is super annoying. ~2025-37282-35 (talk) 00:02, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- @~2025-37282-35 Hiya, I'll take a look at these when I get a moment. You might get a quicker response to these if you add an
{{Edit semi-protected}}template to the top of these sections; this will indicate to others that you have a suggestion for the article that you can't implement yourself because the page is protected. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 00:09, 5 December 2025 (UTC)- Ah, that's helpful to know for the future. Thank you a lot for looking at them :P ~2025-37282-35 (talk) 00:18, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- @~2025-37282-35 These have both been fixed :) - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 05:05, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of phobias, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Basophobia. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Question?
Hi Umby, I wanted to know how I could make my edit more constructive. All I was doing is suggesting a Docuseries in 1985 Mexico Earthquake. How should I make that more constructive? ~2026-59140-5 (talk) 16:25, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hiya! The biggest problem with your talk page suggestions were the fact that you were removing others' comments to make your own. Talk pages are meant to serve as a record of discussion around improving an article, and removing others' comments is not allowed, except under limited circumstances. I can see in your last edit that you added your comment without removing others, which is good! Don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages (but never on articles) by including four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post, or use the Reply function, which will do this for you. If you forget, a bot will usually handle this for you, as was the case here.
- As for your edit on the article itself, it was reverted because it introduced a typo and broke an existing link to another article without adequately explaining why. If you didn't mean to do this, don't worry, it's been cleaned up now (just don't make it a habit!) In future, you should aim to explain your edits using an edit summary to briefly explain what you changed and why. This will make it less likely that other editors will mistake your edits as unconstructive.
- Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 21:58, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ah I see ok thanks. I made another edit on a different account on Juan Gabriel. Would you look at that? ~2026-59140-5 (talk) 01:49, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- I assume you're referring to the most recent temporary account edit on January 15? - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 01:54, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- no i mean the one that is made on the talk page on janurary 4th ~2026-59140-5 (talk) 02:50, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ah okay! I see what you mean now. I'll take a look at this when I get a moment. For future suggestions to add, change or remove trivial content
on a page like this one(on pages that you can't or shouldn't do yourserlf), you may want to consider creating an edit request. When you do, your request will be placed in a queue to be reviewed by other editors. Take a look at WP:Edit requests for more information, what's required, and how to create an edit request. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 02:55, 29 January 2026 (UTC)- Why did you say it was nit constructive when i added at the beginning that I like Sam and cat I worked hard ~2026-11030-01 (talk) 02:10, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

streching on the Sikh Empire Mapping without following criterial guideline and many veracious exaggeration even after not reaching the consensus on its respective talk Page at Talk:Sikh Empire
Its look like, even after consensus did not form in his prerogative favour on this particular articulacy of Sikh Empire, the impatient User elected to self-insert that fictitious map () while it remained under ongoing deletion for failing requirements—criteria same for all who bind themselves to the collaboratory mechanism. Without pushing a one-sided narrative, it is better to rollback this unprecedented and baseless edit to ease the record.
Hope it works for all of us

New SPI but I have no idea what I'm doing
There's been some sock-like activity over a bunch of MCU pages so I opened a SPI. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to run one. Could you help me? It's Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Eeryytk Realtent (talk) 04:21, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Realtent That looks fine to me. I would suggest moving the specific diffs out of the comments by other users and against the specifically linked articles, just to make things easier for the reviewing admin. Unfortunately I'm not an admin or SPI clerk, so I can't action it any further than what's already there. Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 04:28, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
