About the editor

Hi there! It's Husskeyy here. Welcome to my Wikipedia User Page!
I'm a resident of my gorgeous, diverse, friendly home city of Cape Town, South Africa, and am a techie, nature-lover, animal-lover, and avid Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons contributor.
I'm a People Operations professional, and hold a Master of Business Science from the University of Cape Town.
Some of my main interests are video games; gardening; tech; animals - especially dogs; nature; and South African politics.
I'm a vehement supporter of the LGBT rights movement; environmental protection; maintaining unbiased, free-to-access media funded by non-profits, trusts, and the government; free education for all, up to and including postgraduate qualifications, as much as each person would like to study; strengthening and upholding democratic institutions and actively participating in elections being a mandated responsibility that comes with the privileges of living in a democratic state; and am a proud democratic socialist.
I enjoy editing Wikipedia in my spare time, and like the idea of contributing towards the improvement of such a valuable resource. My edits range from minor grammatical corrections and format improvements, to adding new content - text and images - and creating new pages. I really enjoy contributing towards pages (and uploading images) related to South Africa, and especially Cape Town.
Important: You may notice that I'm quite active on certain pages. These are likely the ones I'm most passionate about, and likely ones I created and have built up over time. If I undo or change a contribution of yours on one of those pages, it's always in good faith. Just consider that I may have put a lot of time into researching the subject matter on the page. There are a few pages on Wikipedia that I look after on a continual basis. Like a gardener tending to their plants.
Areas of interest
My specific areas of interest to contribute towards are:
- Anything Cape Town-related, especially things pertaining to local government, suburbs, infrastructure, local businesses, and culture
- Anything South Africa-related, especially topics like governance, political oversight (independent watchdogs), SA democracy, elections, media, housing, infrastructure, the fuels industry, the retail industry, tourism, demographics, SA companies, the electricity sector, and the economy
- Cars, especially new ones. Most especially EVs, and bonus points if the topic relates to EVs in SA
- Coffee, especially as it pertains to my home city, which is considered a global coffee hub
- Telecommunications, including mobile and fiber infrastructure
I've been contributing here for around 13 years, and have made well over 4,000 edits, most of which are still live on Wikipedia today. I'm very proud of both of these things! And, I'm happy to have contributed to this wonderful, global resource of information.
Major contributions
Below, I have linked some of the many pages I've contributed towards, and divided them into two sections:
- The first lists pages I created. In other words, these never existed on Wikipedia before (or did, and were deleted). I'm happy and excited to say that some of these pages get tons of daily readers
- The second lists pages where I've contributed significantly (either one time or over a period of time) towards the article's content and/or style
Pages created
(Some pages in this list may list other editors as original page creators. This is due to their creating blank pages, as redirects, and my subsequently changing them to new articles).
Pages with an asterisk next to them are ones I'm most proud of.
