I am a retired Electrical Engineer and IEEE Life Member with over four decades of experience spanning research, aerospace, and global infrastructure. I have been an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) in the State of Washington since 1972.
Education
- University of Washington: B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Magna cum laude, 1972). Member of Tau Beta Pi and IEEE.
- Stanford University: M.S. in Electrical Engineering (1974), Stanford EE Fellowship.
Professional Background
My career has involved software development and IT infrastructure management for several notable organizations:
- Battelle Northwest (PNNL): Focused on early autonomous robotics and embedded systems.
- NASA: Software development for the Space Shuttle program.
- The Walt Disney Company: Entertainment technology and infrastructure.
- Boeing: Retired as a Global Network Engineering manager for IT Infrastructure.
Technical Milestones
- Early Computing: Software author for the original IBM PC.
