• MOS:QUOTEMARKS – Punctuation before quotations: It is clearer to use a colon to introduce a quotation if it forms a complete sentence, and this should always be done for multi-sentence quotations. A comma is required when it would be present in the same constructions if none of the material were a quotation.
• MOS:LQ – If the quotation is a full sentence and it coincides with the end of the sentence containing it, place terminal punctuation inside the closing quotation mark. If the quotation is a single word or fragment, place the terminal punctuation outside.
