Peter K. Enns is an American political scientist and professor in the Department of Government and the Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University. In 2020, he co-founded the polling company, Verasight, as the Chief Data Scientist with Benjamin Leff^[1][2]. In 2017, he received the Emerging Scholar Award from the Elections, Public Opinion, and Voting Behavior section^[3][4] of the American Political Science Association.^[5]

In both the 2020 and 2024 U.S. presidential elections, Enns co-authored election forecasting models that achieved high predictive accuracy across all or nearly all states. In the 2020 U.S. presidential election, his model accurately forecast the winner in every state except Georgia. He followed with a 2024 forecast that correctly predicted the outcome of the 2024 U.S. presidential election across all 50 states, including both the Electoral College and popular vote margins, doing so months before the election.^{[2][6][7][8][9][10]}

Enns’s co-authored book, Hijacking the Agenda: Economic Power and Political Influence, was the recipient of the 2022 Gladys M. Kammerer Award from the American Political Science Association. ^[11]
