• Wade-Dahl-Till valve - medical gadget invented, in part, by author Roald Dahl
• William Sampson (attorney) - I know about this guy from editing his memoirs
• Zenas Leonard - his journal mentions meeting York (explorer) which, if true, makes a good ending to the Lewis & Clark expedition
