Laird was a member of the England under-17 squad that hosted the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.^[1] In November 2019, Laird scored for England under-19 in a qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina.^[2]

The following month saw him score his first goal at this age level away to the Republic of Ireland.^[4]
