Hello. I am Camille Verdier and I work for ARKAMYS. I understand that the account name “ARKAMYS” is problematic because it represents a company/organization rather than an individual editor. I also understand that attempting to create or edit an article about ARKAMYS creates a conflict of interest, and that any paid or employment-related contributions must be disclosed. This account is around eight years old and was created before my current attempt to resolve the situation. I am not trying to evade a block or hide my connection to ARKAMYS. I am trying to handle this transparently and in accordance with Wikipedia’s rules. If unblocked, I will request or accept a change to an individual username, such as “Camille Verdier” or another acceptable personal username. I will clearly disclose on my user page that I work for ARKAMYS before making any ARKAMYS-related contributions. I will not directly create or publish an article about ARKAMYS in mainspace. Instead, I will use Articles for Creation, talk pages, and edit requests, and I will rely only on independent, reliable sources with neutral wording. Are you the original creator of this account?

Please read WP:BOSS, and show it to your superiors and colleagues. Most company representatives who attempt what you are asking usually fail at it. Most companies on Earth actually do not meet the special definition of a notable company that we use, because most published coverage of most companies is about their routine business activities, like commencing operations, raising capital, personnel changes, acquiring competitors, etc., none of which establish notability even if published in independent sources. Wikipedia is interested in what others wholly unconnected with a company choose on their own to say about it- as critical analysis and commentary as to the importance/significance/influence of a company. Summarizing such sources is usually very, very difficult for a company representative to do as it requires setting aside everything that they know about their companies. Are you one of the rare people who can do this successfully? Possibly, but the odds are heavily against it. There are also good reasons to not want an article.

Our articles are typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the topic. New users creating articles right out of the gate is discouraged, even indirectly, and even without a conflict of interest; you wouldn't build a house without first learning construction techiniques and how to install plumbing, the same goes for Wikipedia, there is much to learn and skills to master. It's even harder to edit with a conflict of interest or being a paid editor(as company employees are considered to be). 331dot (talk) 19:39, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
