Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Allysonnaa. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Donald Brockett, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. This warning is based on edits that name-check the same individual on two different pages. You also need to provide a source for any material added to an article. Oblivy (talk) 22:26, 17 September 2025 (UTC)

There are criteria for inclusion of information in a Wikipedia article, especially WP:V, WP:RS and when the content deals with living people WP:BLP. Put simply, everything added to Wikipedia needs to be backed up by a reliable source. As you clearly think this material belongs on Wikipedia, If you don't follow these policies, your content will not appear on Wikipedia.
Since you continue to add information about a single person, I want to ask directly: Do you have any relationship, personal or professional, paid or unpaid, major or minor, with Julie Twyford? Oblivy (talk) 21:18, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Julie Twyford (September 30)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by RangersRus was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Julie Twyford (December 11)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by MCE89 were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Much of the content in this draft is still unsourced. You need to support each statement with an inline citation to a reliable source. There are also still issues with maintaining a neutral and encyclopedic tone.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hi. Rather than continuing to re-submit this page with new sources that don't qualify for notability (e.g., lawyer profiles and own websites) may I suggest that you (1) re-read WP:RS and WP:BASIC and (2) after doing that consider the possibility that this article will never reach that standard based on currently available sources?
I would also note that you have never responded to my two queries about your apparent conflict of interest in your quest to add Julie Twyford's name to Wikipedia. Oblivy (talk) 23:23, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

The comment the reviewer left was:
To meet the inclusion criteria, extensive coverage specifically about Julie Twyford via independent, reliable sources is required. The Spokane Review refs don't provide extensive coverage and most of the others are related to Twyford. The tone is better but the draft is not neutral. Please read the articles linked in the decline boxes before you resubmit, or ask for help from other editors.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
