you messaged me about this and I removed it because Tom Brady retired — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamo10 (talk • contribs) 20:04, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

@Jamo10: In that case, I apologize. However, in the future, you should use detailed edit summaries, so that other editors can know what the edit is about and your reasoning for making that edit. Doing so will hopefully avoid such misunderstandings in the future. —Alpaca the Wizard (he/him) (talk) (contribs) 00:01, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

FYI, there's a post on WP:ANI where an account who says they're the subject of the article is claiming that the account that is attempting to redirect is trying to extort money. I reverted the redirect, since it didn't look immediately obvious that the sourcing wouldn't hold up. ANI thread here: BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 16:13, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello,

I just wanted to thank you for reviewing the edits on the “Mirud (singer)” article earlier today.

I'm the subject of this article. I reported the situation at the administrators’ noticeboard because the editor involved contacted me privately through social media requesting payment in exchange for keeping the page active. I can provide screenshots if administrators need them. Please advise on how and where to submit those.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the page. Mirudeditor2 (talk) 16:19, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

Sorry, just seeing this now. I knew something seemed fishy, but my main focus is anti-vandalism, so I just tagged the redirect and moved on. In hindsight, probably bit off more than I could chew. —Alpaca the Wizard (talk) (contribs) 22:43, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

You're invited to join the Organized Labour community editing event, a cross-wiki event taking place throughout September 2026!

The campaign brings together Wikimedians interested in improving coverage of organised labour, workers, trade unions, and labour history. We have confirmed collaborations with Wikipedia language editions in English, Dutch, Persian, Serbo-Croatian and French. If you want to add other language editions or other wiki projects you are strongly encouraged to do so! This event spans geography and languages!

This is a one-time invitation. You're receiving it because you previously signed a petition related to Wiki Workers United (WWU). We hope you'll join us!
