Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. I just wanted to point out that I reverted your recent change to Texas' rank in size and population. The way that it was previously written was correct, albeit easy to misunderstand. Texas is second in size (to Alaska) and second in population (to California). The word respectively makes all the difference.

It ran from June 1 – September 1, and reduced the backlog of unassessed articles from 113,385 to 56,237. In all, over 100,000 articles were assessed. Over 60 people contributed in some way.
