Thank you for the warning @Jacob Rampino:, I'll be sure to exercise more patience in the future. When you say "striking," are you referring to just adding a strikethrough? Not sure if that will undo previous remarks, but I am unused to these conflicts.

Yes, striking just means wrapping the text in <s>...</s> tags (or using the strikethrough button in the editing toolbar), which renders like this. It doesn't delete or undo the remark, but it is an accepted way to indicate you're retracting or no longer standing by something you wrote, without deleting it and altering the historical record of the conversation.
