Always precious

Ten years ago, you were found precious. That's what you are, always. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:17, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

Burrowing bilaterians

I originally didn't understand why these Ikaria were making little dirt paths in the substrate, but I always thought it was a kinda cool detail. I was today-years-old when I found out you likely depicted them making Helminthoidichnites trace fossils since Ikaria is the most likely candidate. I appreciate your dedication to the small details like that. It makes your art look great (which isn't much of a compliment since it applies to essentially all of your artwork). Thank you very much for your kind words, it's much appreciated. Mr Fink (talk) 14:20, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

You may be eligible to vote in the U4C election

I am contacting you because you previously voted in elections related to the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). You may be eligible to vote in the current U4C election, which is open now and closes on 2 June 2026. You can find out more about the candidates and the election on the election page on Meta, and from there you can access the vote itself. Your participation in these elections is important to the governance of Wikimedia communities, and your time spent learning about the candidates and voting is appreciated.

Regarding Sulawesi Miocene Fish

Hello. Sorry for approaching you from direct messasage.. Can I ask for another help or advice?

Since I think the Sangkarewang Formation fish drawings are mostly done, I want to move into the last Indonesia major fish formation which is Tonasa Formation. From what I read and desperately searched, I only found this source that contain most of the taxa https://eurekamag.com/research/025/140/025140162.php?srsltid=AfmBOoqi6uHDC0-06IAsw-O8LVogt1NOhhAj40IdNp5WE1jvlVdURkB_&__cf_chl_f_tk=BOMhTJlO8PfEW4mJW_qE1JQ47Xp223TvemVRvW37hhk-1783420845-1.0.1.1-LY6ZP_HwH5uBLqDT8p7X0ZcV4BCTvM5yu4Pa9C9rfMM

But I cant seem to find any source or even from sci hub to crack it. So I apologize if I am being impudent, but do you happen to know or have a way to access it? Maybe you are also interested in drawing them? Thank you very much in advance.. DD (talk) 10:49, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

I opted to go ahead and buy the article for myself and you as a belated birthday present. Mr Fink (talk) 15:42, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

Trogon

I assume the comment made was a joke, your views are still welcome. Sabine's Sunbird talk 04:15, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

I suppose it was a joke, but, it reminded me of how people like to make me feel unwelcome and stupid by misconstruing what I have to say in order to directly imply I have nothing of worth to say. Mr Fink (talk) 04:34, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

Pteraspis reconstruction

Chiming in to ask about the dorsal spines/scutes in your reconstruction of Pteraspis. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about these fish and wanted to know if the number/arrangement of the dorsal spines behind the head was known for sure. Different reconstructions have different numbers of spines (and some lack them entirely), and yours has more spines than any of the others I've seen. This isn't meant to point out an inaccuracy or give critique, I'm just wondering what yours is based on. Gasmasque (talk) 15:11, 31 July 2026 (UTC)

I based my reconstructions of Pteraspis and other pteraspids on the reconstructions in John Long's "The Rise of Fishes" and Philippe Janvier's "Early Vertebrates." I also used Allain Blieck's "Les hétérostracés pteraspidiformes: systématique, phylogénie, biostratigraphie, biogéographie" for additional research. I may have exaggerated the size and number due to artistic license. Mr Fink (talk) 19:55, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
