Information icon Hello, I'm TonySt. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Juan Cole, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. tony 03:45, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi, Tony. I added a section on "Overview of Major Works" like the one for other academics such as Judith Butler, in accordance with Persepolis's suggestion. I am confused that you say I cited no source. I cited Bruce Lawrence and Timothy Mitchell from the Middle East Studies Association Bulletin and gave volume and page numbers. Please explain. Apologies, @AugustinFernandez! Looks like I reverted this in error. Is it OK if I revert the article back to the way you had it prior to me reverting it in error? Thank you :) --tony 04:14, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
Yes please AugustinFernandez (talk) 04:15, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
Done! You can feel free to remove the notice I left for you on this user talk page. Thank you for your contributions, sorry again, and happy editing :) tony 04:17, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
thanks! and for being gentle with a newbie AugustinFernandez (talk) 04:20, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
Also do you have any idea why I can't see the captcha challenge in my browser when I add an external citation? AugustinFernandez (talk) 04:22, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with that captcha challenge. I can refer you to this really helpful page which describes how to add references using the built-in tools, but if you're already using those specific tools then I'm not sure why it would be giving you grief when adding citations. tony 04:25, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Juan Cole, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. NotJamestack (✉️|📝) 05:26, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

I cited reliable sources for changes I made. Not sure why you think I didn't. AugustinFernandez (talk) 05:33, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
NotJamestack, if you look again you will see that you undid my cited sources. How does that make sense? AugustinFernandez (talk) 15:38, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Juan Cole, you may be blocked from editing. NotJamestack (✉️|📝) 15:57, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

NotJamestack, I cited sources. Someone has taken down paras. in which sources are *clearly* cited. I have to question the integrity of this editorial process, since charges are being made baselessly that fly in the face of the actual text. AugustinFernandez (talk) 06:09, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
