Joseph DiDomizio photos

Hi Bobcooley. You seemed to have uploaded the same photo of Bobcooley twice under slightly different file names, and it's not exactly clear why you did so. Since you uploaded File:Joseph DiDomizio 2024.jpg after File:Joe DiDomizio portrait bob cooley.jpg and are using the former in your user sandbox, I'm assuming that's the one you ended up deciding to keep. My guess is that you didn't like the file name you chose for the first file, didn't know how to request a file name change request, and re-uploaded the file again under your preferred file name. That's OK if you did, but Wikipedia doesn't really need to have duplicates of the same file per speedy deletion criterion F1; so, my suggestion to you would be to tag whichever of the two you don't want with the template {{db-author}} and request that it be speedy deletion per speedy deletion criterion G7.

Assuming that you took the photo yourself (you did, right?), it also can be a good idea to upload a photo with its complete EXIF to help verify you did take the photo, unless you're providing so other means of verification. You're not required to do so for privacy purposes if you don't want to (the EXIF data will be publicly visible), but it can help avoid someone else mistakenly tagging the file as lacking permission per speedy deletion criterion #F11. (This sometimes can happens for files which look like professionally taken profile pics, even when claimed as "own work"), You can also avoid any misunderstandings if you send a WP:CONSENT email to Wikimedia VRT. Again, this isn't required per se, but it can help clarify your status as the person who took the photo and help avoid misunderstandings. FWIW, more formal verification might be helpful if you find your photo being used contrary to the terms of its license outside of Wikipedia.

Fnally, photos licensed this way should actually be hosted on Wikimedia Commons instead of Wikipedia because it makes them much easier for others to use. So, once you decide on which of the two you want to keep, tagging it with the template {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} will make others aware of it, and they will move it to Commons for you. You can also do this yourself per Wikipedia:Moving files to Commons. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:14, 11 October 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Joe DiDomizio portrait bob cooley.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Joe DiDomizio portrait bob cooley.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 16:29, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
