Stop icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to El Niño–Southern Oscillation. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. ZergTwo (talk) 14:32, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

  1. I did not start the edit war. 2. I think i'm right: it is simply information that my latest edit provides. It's your issue if you "read between the lines". 3. How do you detect self-promotion by anonymous editors? If you cannot, why do you persecute straightforward people? 4. Is ganging up on one "editor" how you would "settle scores"? 5. I will not beg anyone. You know, my stuff does need to be represented here. 6. Given the set of facts that i provided, anyone could use those facts to present them in a different style. But there was no such proactive behaviour, only gang-style turf war.

The "promotion" issue derives from your edit comment, "I also cite my own model and forecast service that is available elsewhere." Citing "skill" in a technical subject further indicates promotional intent. See WP:COI. . . . Separately, the main issue is that your post did not simply tell the reader anything about the ENSO itself...in the ENSO article. If there were a separate article "Predictive methods for the ENSO", then your information might be pertinent there (if you were not promoting), but there is no such article. As a practical matter, the post was technically ultraspecialized in referring to approaches few readers will have heard about, so it is not likely such an article will ever be created here. This is a layperson's encyclopedia, not a technical journal. Procedurally, refer to WP:BRD. —RCraig09 (talk) 20:34, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
