Your recent edit to Joni Ernst seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. The BBB cuts medicaid and SNAP for more than 10 million working class American citizens by making them ineligible by adding stringent work requirements not by removing ineligible illegals or ineligible fraudsters.

I have some terrible news for you...

"...when you are arguing about illegals that are receiving Medicaid benifits:1.4 million, 1.4- they're not eligible. So they will be coming off..."
"People will die!"
"Well, we're all going to die. For heaven's sake folks"
i don't know about you, but she said that verbatim. Please look at context before deleting texts, but in the meantime I'll work at adding citations. Cambam3291 (talk) 22:10, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
Firstly, no need for personal attacks and what I wrote is true. Illegals are already not eligible for Medicaid so her claim is false and you added that without any source based on a youtube video. https://www.kff.org/racial-equity-and-health-policy/issue-brief/5-key-facts-about-immigrants-and-medicaid/ Theofunny (talk) 22:54, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
Her claim is true. 14 states and the District of Colombia are covering illegals not able to receive federal benefits. The cuts are directed towards the states funding those people.

Also, don't take my rebuttal as a personal attack when it wasn't. Cambam3291 (talk) 23:00, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
The legislation seeks to prohibit states from using their funds to cover undocumented immigrants. Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for Medicaid, but 14 states and the District of Columbia have opted to use their own funds to cover those individuals. Your article literally says this.
Recent changes to the bill would cut roughly $1.1 trillion in health-care spending and result in 11.8 million people losing health insurance over the next decade, according to estimates from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

Medicaid is not funded by federal funds and Ernst is responsible for federal funding of Medicaid, Period. It doesn't matter what disinformation you believe. You can open a talk page discussion with other editors there. Theofunny (talk) 23:48, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
Her cuts are not directed towards illegals specifically. It's directed towards more than 10 million Americans. Theofunny (talk) 23:50, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
First of all, Medicaid is a joint funded program, so i have no idea what you're talking about. It's funded by taxpayer dollars on the state and federal level

The cuts are directed towards illegals specifically. The White House literally said it. You are using novel synthesis to claim that it's "directed toward 10 million Americans". It might result in them losing coverage, but the intent is to remove illegals. There's quite a difference.

Asked an objective 3rd party (mentor) for resolution to this. Here's their talk page for when they respond. In the meantime, please leave the edit alone until they respond.
