Femme Bar at List of lesbian bars
Please do not add a bar you are owner of to this list. Wikipedia is not a means to promote your bar. It's great you declared your conflict of interest, but that doesn't mean you get carte blanche to go ahead and use Wikipedia for promotion. Please see WP:NOTPROMO. If you have questions, let me know. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 01:12, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Lesbian bar. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:18, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
Please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Edit requests. Further, if your only reason for being here is to promote your bar, you are in the wrong place. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:23, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
Response to Hammersoft
Hi Hammersoft, thank you for the feedback. I'm new to Wikipedia and I appreciate you taking the time to explain the process. You're absolutely right — I should not have made direct edits to articles related to my business, even with the COI disclosure.
I understand now that the proper process is to use Edit Requests on article Talk pages and let uninvolved editors decide whether the content belongs. I will follow that process going forward.
I have submitted a draft article through Articles for Creation at Draft:Femme Bar, which I believe is the appropriate channel for COI editors. I will not make further direct edits to articles about the subject.
Thank you again for the guidance. CanalDistrictEditor (talk) 01:35, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
