tables
Hello Carfan87 - I am not sure if merging the tables at Mercedes-Benz W124 is a good idea - sometimes, breaking this information up makes for easier to read tables. For the W124 there is simply a LOT of information and it can become overwhelming to present it all in one location. But I will wait for you to finish. Mr.choppers | ✎ 14:46, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback, I suppose that makes sense that one table summarises the production history whilst another goes technical into the engines. The only issue that I have is if information such as weight, top speed, acceleration & fuel economy come into play, the latter will have to be specific for every body type, as naturally the estates will be slower than the sedans.
- I do agree that the W124 has the most complicated history of that manufacturer. Carfan87 (talk) 14:57, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Here is an example of another layout which is quite readable. I recommend using your sandbox for time-consuming edits like these, by the way - it allows you to fiddle without leaving the article in an interim stage. Personally, I am old-fashioned; I like to sketch out what I want the table to look like on paper before I start messing with the code. Mr.choppers | ✎ 15:00, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- If you look at how the Italian version of the page writes it, I think it is very well formatted, but I'm going to clean up the second table as well, and shall see where it get's us.
- Once again, on any other model, it would probably be possible to condense it to a manageable size, but ... but....124 is one voluminous story. That's ignoring all the pre-merger AMG models as well, like the Hammer, the Mallet, the 3.4, etc. Carfan87 (talk) 08:21, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
