Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Sahib-e-Qiran, EasternShah 15:29, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm StartOkayStop. I noticed that you recently removed content from Lime (transportation company) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Tbh, basically the same text appeared further back in the article. Don't want to start an edit war, but that's why I removed it. CheeseAndJamSamdwich (talk) 20:55, 12 April 2026 (UTC)

How to get a new mentor

Hi, whoever sees this! My mentor, EasternShah has been blocked indefinitely for arbitration enforcement. 1. Does a block physically stop you from editing, or does it just mean you shouldn't edit? 2. What's arbitration enforcement? 3: How do I get a new mentor? Thanks in advance. CheeseAndJamSamdwich (talk) 15:25, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

1. A block does stop you from editing from your account. 2. WP:Arbitration is a process to find binding solutions to a conflict. 3. I don't know of a way to get a new mentor, although I am a mentor, so if you want, I can "claim" you, which assigns me as your new mentor. Cheers! BSH (talk) - (they/them) 15:43, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Looks like the system's already done it. It's Cyberdog958. Anyway, thanks for sending me down a rabbit hole about past arbitration proceedings. Since I'm still relatively new here, this is helping me learn some of the ins and outs of Wikipedia. Cheers. CheeseAndJamSamdwich (talk) 18:54, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Draft review request for Draft:The Signal Post

Hello! I noticed that you frequently review and help improve recently created pages and drafts. I was wondering if you could take a look at Draft Signal Post when you have time.

I’ve been working on improving the sourcing, formatting, and neutrality of the draft, and I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. If you feel it meets the notability and article standards, a review for possible move to mainspace would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and for helping new editors around Wikipedia! Hikemountain (talk) 17:23, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

WP:WikiProject Articles for creation/Participants says that reviewers must have an account that is at least 90 days old, and I've only had one for 30-40 days, which means I can't review it properly. Your best bet is to just wait for someone to review it, and you'll get pinged when they do. Having said that, it certainly looks notable, the only issue I can find is that the First India citation showed up as "This page has no content", but that's probably because I'm in the UK. You can probably read it. CheeseAndJamSamdwich (talk) 17:59, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Edit summary

How did you consider this edit to be a good faith edit despite reverting and marking it yourself as "Vandalism"? TheProEditor11 (talk) 15:22, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

My msitake. Hit the wrong button. Thanks for telling me. CheeseAndJamSamdwich (talk) 15:24, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
a rainbow trout fish

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Self-trout, I deserve it CheeseAndJamSamdwich (talk) 19:51, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
