Re: "Out of sight, out of mind" sorts of lists
Mean not offense with that, it's just a trend I noticed from the early days of wikipedia, where everything got a list and the practiced carried on for a long time. It's particularly irksome because it resulted in a lot of cases where the main article was good or higher, but the list was either forgotten or fell into hard disrepair and likely shouldn't have been spun out as is. Incorrect use of article banners
Hi @Clariniie. You added Template:Cleanup bare URLs to Music of Genshin Impact, even though there are no bare URLs present. Please be more vigilant in future and only apply these types of banners for legitimate issues. Thank you! 11WB (talk) 08:38, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- Well, what I meant there were bare URL was some references were formatted like below:
- :<ref name="vgmo">Kotowski, Don (April 5, 2021). [http://www.vgmonline.net/yu-pengchen/ "Yu-Peng Chen Interview: The Music of Genshin Impact"]. ''VGMO -Video Game Music Online-''. [https://web.archive.org/web/20220917160840/http://www.vgmonline.net/yu-pengchen/ Archived] from the original on September 17, 2022. Retrieved February 28, 2022.</ref><ref name="GameQualityForum" /> :
- Instead of this, which I think looks more usual with the others:
- :<ref>{{Cite web|first=Don|last=Kotowski|title=Yu-Peng Chen Interview: The Music of Genshin Impact|url=http://www.vgmonline.net/yu-pengchen/|url-status=dead|website=VGMO|date=April 5, 2021|access-date=February 28, 2022|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220917160840/http://www.vgmonline.net/yu-pengchen/|archive-date=September 17, 2022}}</ref> :
- If the source is not archived, remove "archive-url" and "archive-date" parameters.

- Bare URLs means URLs that are visible to a reader without needing to access the editor. There are no bare URLs visible like that. I understand the confusion however. I would also stress to be more aware of errors, such as this. These are cite errors. I fixed the one that was created yesterday, so that's resolved now. 11WB (talk) 09:12, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
