List of footballers in England by number of league goals

Heya,

Just to say that I don't think Ron Eyre would count towards this list as Bournemouth were in the 3rd Division South therefore aren't eligible as it wasn't within the league system? I haven't checked whether this is also true of other entries onto the list but thought I'd flag it. Statattack (talk) 22:04, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

The Football League expanded from two divisions to three in 1920 and then to four in 1921. Third Division South was certainly within the Football League from 1921 to 1958, see Football League Third Division South and Football League Third Division North. In 1920/21 there was just one Third Division and in 1958 the two regional third divisions were replaced by the Football League Third Division and Football League Fourth Division ColchesterSid (talk) 22:32, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
