page List_of_international_airports_in_Canada#Airports_of_entry .. lists MANY airports which AREN'T apparently current..

1stly, Hi!

( :

2ndly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_airports_in_Canada#Airports_of_entry

I've stuck a little paragraph at the top of that section, linking to the NAV CANADA current-list, which holds only 43.

However, since I don't have the Canada Flight Supplement, & can't afford it, therefore I can't know whether the online-list is somehow contradicting the Canada Flight Supplement list.

That list, if it is THAT wrong, is horribly misleading people!

It means that people would be taking their aircraft to some airport *expecting* Canada Border Services to be there, & then .. nothing: they aren't legally in the country, now!

I really don't know what to do, in this case Nyingmapa (talk) 03:12, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

@Nyingmapa: Hi, I don’t get your question. Your addition also doesn’t make sense and doesn’t read as encyclopedic text but reads as if it is from a governmental website. It also breaks our policy for external links. Could you rephrase your sentence? (Also, how’d you find me?) Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 03:19, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
Doh:
https://do-rb.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/?lang=en_CA
They divided-up the Airports of Entry into separate lists!
Humbug upon them!
sigh
Now I'll have to check multiple-lists against the wikipedia-page, to check that it's correct.
Later.. Nyingmapa (talk) 04:12, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
Ok… @Nyingmapa. Still confused on how you found me. Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 23:53, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

Question from Walterfgnn (20:11, 16 December 2025)

Hey, I have proposed a page move from Frederica of Hanover to Frederica of Greece. I am right based on law, but they keep going against me. I am also Greek, they're not so they do not know the matter as well as they think. What can I do? --Walterfgnn (talk) 20:11, 16 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi, @Walterfgnn. I am currently moving and not able to answer your question in depth. Please ask your mentor in your dashboard or ask in the teahouse! Happy editing ! Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 03:15, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

January–February 2026 Backlog Drive | New pages patrol

New Pages Patrol is hosting a one-time, two-month experimental backlog drive aimed at reducing the backlog. This will be a combo drive: both articles and redirects will earn points.

  • The drive will run from 1 January to 28 February 2026.
  • The drive is divided into two phases. Participants may take part in either phase or across both phases, depending on availability.
  • Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled during the drive.
  • Two-month drive-exclusive barnstars will be awarded to eligible participants.
  • Each article review earns 1 point, while each redirect review earns 0.2 points.
  • Streak awards will be granted based on consistently meeting weekly point thresholds.
  • Barnstars will also be awarded for re-reviewing articles previously reviewed by other patrollers during the drive.
  • Interested in participating? Sign up here.

Two Wikicurious events in North Carolina this week

There are two Wikicurious events in North Carolina this coming week! These are great opportunities to meet other Wikipedians, help new editors get started, and learn more about subjects you might not be familiar with.

Wikicurious: WNC Women's History Month Edit-a-thon will be a hybrid event held at the Pack Memorial Library in Asheville on Tuesday, March 24, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event is focused on amplifying the stories and figures of under-represented Appalachian artists, writers, and other creators, particularly women in honor of Women's History Month, as well as people of color, LGBTQ individuals, and other disenfranchised communities. Get the full details and register on the meetup page.

Wikicurious: Country Music's Mythology will be an in-person event held at the historic Love House in downtown Chapel Hill on Wednesday, March 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At the event, you'll have a chance to improve Wikipedia's coverage of emerging and underrepresented country musicians, see an exhibit of photos and fan culture from the Grand Ole Opry, and hear from special guest Rissi Palmer, singer-songwriter and host of the podcast Color Me Country. Get the full details and register on the meetup page.

You received this message because you are on the global message delivery list of the North Carolina Wikipedians, probably because you signed up on our user page or because you attended one of our events. If you would like to remove yourself, please e-mail me or remove your username from our global message delivery list.

Hope to see you at some of these events! -- Gaurav (talk) 08:47, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
