Question from Cwygal (20:39, 20 February 2026)

how do i change the name of the article i created --Cwygal (talk) 20:39, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello, @Cwygal! By your contributions, I assume that you're talking about Draft:Argus Research Group Draft:Argus Research. What you have done is known as a cut and paste move, which is usually bad practice, however because you are the only contributer to both articles and the old one only had a single revision, it is not a big deal.
You are not yet autoconfirmed (have an account with 10 edits that has existed for 4 days), so you were not able to properly rename (or, move) the page. When you are autoconfirmed, there should be a button in the top right of your screen that says "move", where you can do a proper moving of the article. There is more information for this H:MOVE. dot.py 20:55, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
sounds good! i couldn't figure it out so i just made a new article with the name i wanted and deleted the other one. My boss told me to make a simple wiki page for our company so that is what I am doing. Thank you for the help :))) Cwygal (talk) 21:09, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
No problem! Also, thank you for following the paid editing disclosure!
P.S. You probably should to read and/or ask your boss to read WP:BOSS. dot.py 21:15, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

About your subpage...

I noticed that you have a new subpage (User:Dot.py/Baby Globe torture page). What a terrible creature you must be torturing this poor, innocent youth...

Like. This is the thing you want to torture? The most babiest globe ever??...

...Okay, I can understand. 🫀 Crash // Organhaver ( it / he|talk to me, maybe? ) 03:09, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Mellick Melody (16:00, 24 February 2026)

Hello Mentor I'm happy to be here, I would love to enquire more on how I can edit and also write new contents about fully verified companies --Mellick Melody (talk) 16:00, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello! If you would like to edit a page about a company, you can click the "Edit" button at the top-right of the page, and edit away! Before editing, I very much recommend that you read the introduction to editing and what Wikipedia is not. Also, any content that you add should be supported by a reliable source. For information on how to do this, please read the page on citing sources. dot.py 16:07, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Its my first article where do I start? --Oaktree2255 (talk) 19:16, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Greetings! If you would like to make a new article, then you should read Help:Your first article. That page should have all the information that you need to create your first article. I also have few more links that I recommend you read, which I will list below:

Question from Mellick Melody (10:34, 28 February 2026)

Hello Mentor

Please the new post I wrote, when will it go live, I have been waiting for days --Mellick Melody (talk) 10:34, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello, to submit your draft at User:Mellick Melody/sandbox for review, add {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page. I have also proofread the draft you wrote, and before submitting it, I have seen that it does need more citations to reliable sources (see Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:Reliable sources) and it needs to be edited to comply with Wikipedia's Manual of Style (see the simplified Manual of Style). dot.py 19:11, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
Good day, I have made proper edits to the post and also added the necessary citation.
My question is this, regardless of me been a new editor, will my first post be approved knowing fully well that I haven't gotten up to 10 edits yet. Mellick Melody (talk) 15:57, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Your edit count should not indicate whether or not your article will be approved. dot.py 17:11, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from ApeIndexClimb (22:24, 1 March 2026)

Yesterday I put in my first edit and it had a back-and-forth between undone, redone, and then my reference removed but the edit kept. Should I just act confidently when I know I can back it up and then if it gets reverted just elaborate on whatever they list their problem/objection as being (with the expectation of a back and forth dynamic, and not worry about that)?

A longer summary in case you want context: It was a small edit, but I made the reference/citation because I was worried my new account would just get autoreverted, and I added a midsize explanation for the same reason. But because I mentioned I "calculated" (one arithmetic subtraction) in my summary, it got reverted as original research anyway. Eventually I had the gumption to un-revert my edit saying it was arithmetic and this time the same guy left my edit but removed my sourcing/reference. It was the same guy and he/she went from no Original Research to don't bother creating a citation for that. --ApeIndexClimb (talk) 22:24, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia ApeIndexClimb! I'll answer your questions.
  1. I am real. Mentorship is a system on Wikipedia for new editors to be guided by more experienced editors. I opted into being a mentor.
  2. I have taken a look at your contributions. I am not to well-versed on sports-related articles, but WP:CALC in Wikipedia:No original research states that Routine calculations do not count as original research, provided there is consensus among editors that the results of the calculations are correct, and a meaningful reflection of the sources. Basic arithmetic [what you did], such as adding numbers, converting units, or calculating a person's age, is almost always permissible. However, if there is a reliable source that precisely states what her ape index is, that would be much better.
Also, I want to explain Wikipedia's bold, revert, discuss cycle (which you have seen to have followed well!). This cycle means:
    1. You make a bold edit to a page.
    2. Someone else reverts your edit.
    3. You both discuss it on the talk page.

Question from AaronZL (06:46, 5 March 2026)

When I try to cite, the website link doesn’t work, and I don’t know why. Also, many athlete’s pages, if the were among the greatest of all time or their era, has it put as so. But when I include that, without just my personal opinion but a widely regarded one, it’s gets taken down. Both by the same guy, who I think is targeting my edits. --AaronZL (talk) 06:46, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

  1. Some web pages don't work for automatic citing. Could I have the link for more information?
  2. As per Wikipedia's original research and neutral point of view policies, which means that Wikipedia articles must not contain [...] material — such as facts, allegations, and ideas — for which no reliable, published source exists. and All encyclopedic content on Wikipedia must be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV), which means representing fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias, all the significant views that have been published by reliable sources on a topic. By looking at your contributions, it looks like the issue is that, although you have cited correctly, the source itself is opinionated. A good way to fix this is, instead of saying Alice Robertson is the best football player of her time.<ref>Smith, John. example.com</ref>, say John Smith says that Alice Robertson is the best football player of her time.<ref>Smith, John. example.com</ref>, or just not add it at all. However, I am not that knowledgeable in biographical articles, so a better place to ask this is on the teahouse.

Question from NAIM HASA on Mega (service) (16:44, 11 March 2026)

Hello. I am new here. Can you please help me understand how to create and use my MEGA account? I want to know how to upload files and use the storage. Thank you. --NAIM HASA (talk) 16:44, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello, @NAIM HASA. As your mentor, I can help you with Wikipedia-related questions. As this question is not related to Wikipedia, I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer. A better place to ask would likely be the help center or contact page on the MEGA website. dot.py 15:45, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

Your Teahouse question

I found this question in the archives, but you did not receive a response. Did you get a response? I wouldn't know how to respond.— Vchimpanzee  talk contributions • 22:49, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi, I ended up going to the help channel on the Discord server, and I got the answer "no, only API" by User:Nemoralis dot.py 23:08, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
They say not to edit the archives, though I have done it to correct links after archiving. I'll just leave it as is.— Vchimpanzee  talk contributions • 21:21, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
