Number of district councils
Hi,
If the current count is off, does that mean that the previous count (238) was off as well?
-- ran (talk) 12:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
No, 238 was correct. On 1st April 2009, 36 district councils ceased to exist and 1 (Bedford) became a unitary authority. (sorry if this reply is in the wrong place, I'm not a big Wikipedia user). Dracos (talk) 12:35, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Telephone numbers in the United Kingdom, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Please feel free to use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. https://www.ukphoneinfo.com/area-code/01697 David Biddulph (talk) 12:35, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
@David Biddulph: That page is inaccurate when it comes to 016977 - the Wikipedia page itself is more accurate, and I was only updating the summary at the top to match the explanations given further down in the Wikipedia page itself. Dracos (talk) 14:08, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
