Hello, I'm TonySt. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Byzantine Empire under the Doukas dynasty, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. tony 04:44, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Byzantine Empire under the Komnenos dynasty. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. tony 04:46, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- I made these changes because the Byzantines never called themselves that and I wanted to put the correct name so it would be less misleading to readers. I am new to wikipedia editing, could you explain where I would place a citation? Edidor123 (talk) 04:51, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- Doesnt matter what they called themselves or didnt call themselves. Check out WP:COMMONNAME. Thanks! Masterhatch (talk) 10:53, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Look, we here on wikipedia follow Wikipedia:Reliable sources (RS). So any argument you have for name changes must follow that. If the majority of RS call it Byzantine Empire, then we do here too. Going around and doing mass changes without RS will get those edits mass reverted. Wikipedia is built on consensus. Thanks! Masterhatch (talk) 11:11, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
