I have disclosed that I am a paid employee of the Irish Film Festival in our user page. I want to document our 12 years of running on Wikipedia, I will not be using the article as a means of advertising our festival. We would also be very open to request a page writer/editor for the page 'Irish Film Festival Australia' if that means we will be able to have a page on the festival! :-)

(Non-administrator comment) Hi! "Promotion" on Wikipedia might have a different meaning than you are thinking of—stuff like "documenting your 12 years of running" are still considered promotion. Also, writing a brand-new article from scratch on Wikipedia is really hard—the vast majority of companies/organizations/events/etc. do not meet our inclusion criteria, so I highly recommend not trying to do it (especially as a new user and paid employee). That said, if anyone does contact you offering to create an article for you (or do anything else on Wikipedia) for pay, do not give them money: it is a scam.

Thanks for disclosing that you're paid by Irish Film Festival Australia. Since you have a conflict of interest, you should not directly make edits related to your festival (like this one here). Instead, you can propose changes on the talk page using the Edit Request Wizard—more info at Wikipedia:Edit Requests. Highly recommend reading Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Thank you! I understand to not attempt to write an article on the Irish Film Festival Australia. I remember that during the process of signing up and starting a draft page, there was a note that said we can request an editor to write an article on our festival instead of writing it ourselves. I'm assuming you're referring to Wikipedia:Requested articles. Beyond the fact that you can't edit the page right now because you are blocked, I'll note as a heads-up that 1) most requests are never answered (many are probably in the range of 10+ years old) and 2) even if someone does decide to write an article for your festival based on your request, it can still be deleted if it doesn't meet the aforementioned inclusion criteria (and I don't think it does, at the moment).
