Hello, I'm TonySt. I noticed that you recently removed content from Casius quadrangle without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. tony 03:35, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- If you inspect the removed text, it's a jumble of pictures and info that is worded in a non-encyclopedic manner and has very little to do with the respective quadrangles. FMRadio :3(chat | edits | she/her) 03:36, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hey @FMRadio! Sorry for the template. This explanation is really useful -- please use it in edit summaries when you remove large amounts of information, as otherwise it can be indistinguishable from non-constructive edits. --tony 03:38, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I guess I should have expected a rollback. Will do, and thank you! FMRadio :3(chat | edits | she/her) 03:40, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

Farid Allawerdi
hi FMRadio, I hope you are keeping well. You have recently deleted all the images that were associated with Farid Allawerdi, which were part of the page and contributed to almost each Paragraph with a visual assistance and each picture had a tag and reference to other wiki articles, which were extremely helpful in research and for referencing other biographies and other sources of information. The music recordings upload also seem to be deleted but I am not sure if this was done by yourself or someone else. a substantial amount of effort went to sourcing and tagging and referencing the images and it is not possible to undo :( (apologies for the repeated comment as I had to login to message you). I appreciate your explanation as we are all learning here to make wikipedia better and better... Have a nice and lovely day. Rogerdoyle1 (talk) 13:18, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, User:Rogerdoyle1. I removed most of the images of Farid from the page, because they showed mostly irrelevant content, and the more images a page has, the more intrusive they are. For instance, an image of four women holding string instruments does not accurately show any component of the article’s subject. I think a few of the images like Farid as a student for example could be added back into their appropriate sections, but as I said, a lot of the images really had nothing clearly to do with Farid Allawerdi and have no place on the page.
- As for the music recordings, I don’t actually see a problem with putting some of them back if they are contextually relevant to the body text accompanying them, which is a precedent seen on the articles for Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Lizst, etc.
- I’m not sure if your message confused the two or if I’m misunderstanding, but I didn’t delete or nominate for deletion any of the files concerning Farid that you uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, I just cleaned them from the page.
- Happy editing! FMRadio(talk | edits | she/her) 15:42, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain. I was very particular in choosing the images from Farid Allawerdi's archives. The 4 women holding the string instruments are the French String Quartet that performed Farid's compositions around the world, which is stated in the body of the article and there were musical recording of their performance; and I was able to link the image of the 4 ladies to the French wiki page for their quartet. Would that clarify the importance of the image to the article? can I added it back?
- similarly other pictures, that relate to the political and musical aspects of Farid's life as they relate to several important persons who are all referenced to other wiki pages. Rogerdoyle1 (talk) 10:07, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
