This draft is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Wikipedia's verifiability policy requires that all content be supported by reliable sources.
  • Reliable sources include: reputable newspapers, magazines, academic journals, and books from respected publishers.
  • Unacceptable sources include: personal blogs, social media, predatory publishers, most tabloids, and websites where anyone can contribute.
Replace any unreliable sources with high-quality sources. If you cannot find a reliable source for the material, it should be removed.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Hollywood Horrorfest (April 16)

Draft declined

Feedback
The reviewer, Lovelyfurball, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the event meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for events. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the event in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • show lasting significance: analysis published after the initial breaking news has passed, showing historical impact;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the event, such as press releases, the event or organizers own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all four of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
Most sources currently appear to be WP:ROUTINE coverage and passing mentions. Requires more sources which go into depth about the festival and its history.

This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for organizations and companies. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, excluding routine coverage like product launches, staff appointments, or financial reports and listings in databases or listicles;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
Most of the coverage is from really minor publications or is a primary source. It's possible the minor publications contribute to WP:NOTABILITY (as Wikipedia sets it), but it's not clear. The reason we look sideways at minor publications is that it's often difficult to determine how respected/reliable they are. Anyone can make a minor publication and then not apply much rigor to publishing new pieces. Can you find larger publications that cover this organization?
