2026 Tumbler Ridge shooting

Please stop. Your edits are disruptive. "Fixed typos" is not what you are doing. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 17:13, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

According to you and a handful of protectors of a mass murdering maniac. One that killed his family and other innocent children. I fixed a typo, thinking this was genuinely a good idea, but your killer-protector mob has overruled my edits. You are not doing wiki and its readers any favours. Kikiriwiki (talk) 13:36, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
German.zapata: please read WP:BLPMISGENDER and MOS:GENDERID, please keep in mind that WP:BLP is policy and applies in all namespaces -- this includes talk pages. --Gurkubondinn (talk) 13:58, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
Have you read the policies you’re quoting? it would seem to me you need to read them again. Please keep in mind that these policies apply solely to living persons. The child murderer in question is very much deceased. Kikiriwiki (talk) 15:50, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
The policy also applies to recently deceased persons, and MOS:GENDERID applies regardless. There are no "gotchas" that allow you to misgender anyone or act with any TERF nonsense. --Gurkubondinn (talk) 16:14, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
Wikipedia:BLPMISGENDER
“Generally, this policy does not apply to material concerning people who are confirmed dead by reliable sources.”
Q: are you saying that the killer is not confirmed dead?
also, the premise that MOS:GENDERID “applies regardless” is false. Because that policy also
only applies for living people. Jesse is dead, a corpse doesn’t have human rights. A corpse does not possess "human rights" in the same capacity as a living person. Human rights, by definition, are predicated on legal personhood, which ceases at the moment of death.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), Article 6: States that "Every human being has the inherent right to life." Logically and legally, the right to life cannot be held by a deceased entity. Jurisprudence from the UN Human Rights Committee confirms that once life ceases, the "holder" of the right ceases to exist.
I may have to force this to arbitration. I truly believe there is an argument to be settled here. Kikiriwiki (talk) 20:03, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
Sure, go ahead with arbitration. There is no need to force anything, I will not try to stop you. --Gurkubondinn (talk) 23:34, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
Actually, on second thought German.zapata, can you you clarify what you mean by I may have to force this to arbitration? Are you talking about legal action? --Gurkubondinn (talk) 19:39, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
No. Lol. This ain’t that important my guy. Kikiriwiki (talk) 05:49, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Gurkubondinn, please come join the talk in the main article. I have created a new thread there. Kikiriwiki (talk) 06:22, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Frankly I think a trip to WP:AE is likely in the near future if the disruption does not halt. Simonm223 (talk) 13:14, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to introduce incorrect pronouns into articles, you may be blocked from editing. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 17:17, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

I think you should be blocked. As your actions may compromise the safety of children, which is literally one of the rationales for blocking. You are misgendering a mass murderer, a killer of children. Have some common sense and decency. Kikiriwiki (talk) 13:33, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
There is no moral test for whether MOS:GENDERID applies to a biography. Please adhere to our manuals of style and don't act like it's immoral for us to adhere to our manuals of style just because the biographical subject did a morally reprehensible thing. I recommend that you review RGW (Righting great wrongs) which is part of the Tendentious editing essay, along with the Disruptive editing policy. --Super Goku V (talk) 05:06, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Posting this since I do not believe that you are aware of contentious topics. --Super Goku V (talk) 01:06, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

Genuinely appreciate you posting this. Thanks. Kikiriwiki (talk) 13:30, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
