Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Gisborne City AFC have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 04:25, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for reviewing the draft.
I’m trying to understand the concerns so I can improve the article. You stated that it “consists of machine-generated text”, but I’m not sure which passages you’re referring to.
The article was compiled from the cited reliable sources, and my aim was to stay as close as possible to what those sources support while avoiding unsourced interpretation.
Could you please identify the specific sentences or sections that led you to conclude it was machine-generated? Without concrete examples, I’m not sure what changes you’re asking me to make.
I’d appreciate any specific feedback so I can address it. GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 13:30, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making edits generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology) to Wikipedia pages, such as those you attenpted to make to John Drummond (New Zealand astronomer), as LLM-generated content is prohibited on Wikipedia. "You've accused me twice now of using AI, but you haven't shown me a single edit, sentence, or source that you think is problematic.
For the record: I'm not a new editor. I edited Wikipedia over 10 years ago, just under a different account. I also have an English teaching background and a physics background. I'm autistic, so I write in a very structured and precise way.
If you have evidence of AI use, show it to me. If not, please stop leaving warnings without proof." GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 15:04, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

Playmakerstats

Hi GisborneCityArchivist. Please do not use Playmakerstats as a reference. It was categorised as unreliable; see WP:WPFLINKSNO for details and other unreliable football sources. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 00:28, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

no problem my bad will fix asap GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 01:47, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
When is "asap"? There is still one instance of Playmakerstats being used and I've seen you make other edits in the meantime. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:25, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
Sorry I removed the second playmakerstats thought I only had one hopefully it’s all good now GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 22:35, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
No problem. All is well now. :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:56, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Gisborne City AFC, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. We ask that you:

Thank you for the notice. I am not employed by, compensated by, or acting on behalf of Gisborne City AFC. The club is defunct and I no longer live in Gisborne. However, I do have a personal connection to the club as a former player and lifetime supporter. My interest is in improving the sourcing, accuracy, and preservation of the club’s historical record using reliable published sources so that its history remains available to future readers. GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 14:20, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
I just wanted to make sure you didn't have a conflict of interest on that article, thanks. Malgosha 14:37, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

Angela Cudd moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Angela Cudd. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and it has too many errors of formatting. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 04:30, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback. I've addressed the issues you raised:
- Added multiple independent reliable sources (NZ Herald, NZ On Screen, SPADA, WIFT NZ, Pacific Scoop, Bevan Crothers)
- Expanded the Education and Awards sections
- Removed promotional language and neutralized the tone
- Fixed formatting errors
The draft has been resubmitted for review.
Cheers,
GisborneCityArchivist GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 06:36, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Angela Cudd has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Angela Cudd. Thanks! Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 15:01, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
Hi Zackmann,
I've removed all IMDb citations and replaced them with reliable sources (NZ On Screen, Big Screen Symposium, WIFT NZ, and NZ Film Commission). Please review when you get a chance.
Thanks GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 00:30, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

"I've posted my conflict of interest disclosure on the talk page. You flagged the article as 'machine-generated text' but didn't specify what needs changing. If you can point to a specific passage or section that reads as problematic, I'm happy to rephrase it. Otherwise, I'll be resubmitting the draft as-is." GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 13:55, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
"I've made some changes — fixed the red links, removed sponsor names, and cleaned up the references. I'm not sure exactly what you wanted me to change, but I've fixed what I could find. Let me know if there's anything else you want me to look at." GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 14:14, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of John Drummond (New Zealand astronomer)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John Drummond (New Zealand astronomer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, as it exhibits signs of having been generated by an AI model with no clear human review. Text produced by these applications is prohibited on Wikipedia. For further information, see section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find it difficult, please ask for help at the Teahouse. ‑‑gurkubondinn 17:32, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

"I've reviewed the Jimmy Cudd article against the feedback you flagged. I've removed the children's names, removed the taxi conviction, fixed the age error in 1993, corrected the Hawke's Bay timeline, and removed the training squad and over-age teams from the infobox (they're still in the prose).
If there's anything else that breaches Wikipedia rules, let me know — I don't know every rule, and I don't assume anyone does.
We're all volunteers doing this for free. I'm not trying to do the wrong thing here. I'm just trying to help." GisborneCityArchivist (talk) 21:57, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
There are two rules that are relevant for you:
  • WP:NOLLM: you're not permitted to use LLMs ("AI", chatbots, etc) to edit
  • WP:AITALK: you're also not permitted to use LLMs to communicate either

Hello @GisborneCityArchivist. I presume that these comments are directed at me? Please refrain from leaving WP:NASTY comments to other editors, it is important that we act WP:CIVIL to each other here.
If you want to move ahead constructively, all I ask of you is that you address your use of AI/LLM. You might find the WP:USED-AI? essay helpful for this. As I have pointed out to you before, the WP:NOLLM guideline means that we are not permitted to use these tools here on English Wikipedia.
You should also be aware of WP:COISELF, you are strongly discouraged from writing about yourself or people that you know. The reason is that it is very hard, for anyone, to write from a neutral WP:NPOV perspective about people that we know (and presumably also like).
