Speedy deletion of User:Glowmetrics/sandbox

Your user page, User:Glowmetrics/sandbox, has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be advertising which only promoted or publicized someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. 331dot (talk) 12:31, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please replace this template with the following:
{{unblock-un on hold | 1=blocking administrator | 2=joannekearney | 3=The following request was written through the unblock wizard.
Can you explain, in your own words, why your edits were promotional?
I can't see what I originally posted but possibly because we included award wins
What is your relationship with the subjects you have been editing about?
Business owner
If you are unblocked, what topic areas will you edit in?
remove references to award wins
Is there anything else that may be helpful to your unblock request?
It would be helpful to know which areas that we originally included were marked as promotional

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}} with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after "decline=", a default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.

- Your draft included "In 2017 the agency achieved its status as a Google Marketing Platform Certified Partner, which requires rigorous vetting of the company’s ability to manage enterprise-level data tools." This is promotional wording, and unsourced. However, I think you are wasting your time rewriting the article to be less promotional, because the company does not meet Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). To be included a company needs significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. I don't think your company has that coverage. PhilKnight (talk) 04:07, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) Based on my observations of unblock requests, it is unlikely that administrators will unblock your account if your only goal is to write about your non-notable company (which yes, it is promotion). If that is your only reason for being on Wikipedia, then I would suggest that you instead find an alternative outlet where this type of writing is allowed. However, if you are interested in being a general contributor, editing topics where you have no conflict of interest, then please give some examples of topic areas that interest you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:54, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
