Request reason:

TL;DR: I'd like to tentatively request an IP block exemption. The IP in question is 50.203.38.116. I'm not sure that this is appropriate for my specific circumstance as I have access to a block-free IP, but only at certain times of day. If I should only edit when I have access to this IP, I totally understand and I'm sorry for wasting your time.

Full explanation: I'm a high school student and I like to edit at my high school (and therefore on my school's network) when I don't have anything better to be doing. At the end of last year, I discovered my school's IP (50.203.38.116) was rangeblocked and asked for next steps (see this page's archives). I didn't edit over the summer for personal reasons, but I'm hoping to get back into it this school year. I can, of course, edit from my home IP without any issues. However, as the majority of my weekdays are spent at school, I'd appreciate the ability to edit at school. As I said in the TL;DR, if my response to this block should be to just edit at home, I understand. I just figured I'd ask in case this was an appropriate circumstance for a rangeblock exemption. Decline reason:

Yes, if you have the ability to access and edit Wikipedia somewhere other than school, that's where you'll have to edit. IPBEs are generally only for people with no other means of accessing and editing Wikipedia, like living in a country that restricts access(PRC or Russia). 331dot (talk) 08:57, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
