Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece (Chrysostomos Synod) moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece (Chrysostomos Synod). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. – {{u|hekatlys}} 04:41, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello ! It is, in fact, a draft, and not finished yet, and not "wikipedized" yet. I will work on it, rest assured.
- As I'm some kind of Wikipedia beginner, and thought to myself than if I had to learn all the subtleties of how wikipedia works before writing an article, I would never start, I decided to start writing the page even tho I didn't really know how exactly.
- The sources are mainly from a book by Russian historian/theologian Alexander Slesarev. I plan on properly citing them, and also provide other sources.
- As for the relevance : this Synod is a Christian denomination that is more than 100 years old and having today around 350 parishes and tens of thousands of members, if not hundreds. It also plays a relatively important role in the history of religion in Greece in this past century. It also is the main religious body present in the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia. Considering how there are articles on tiny Latter Day Saints denominations, for exemple, on wikipedia, I thought that this Synod was relevant enough. Also, as there is a wikipedia article on old calendarism, it seems appropiate to have a wikipedia page on the first (-> depending of course, on interpretation of history/legitimacy, as many claim to be the followers of the first movement of old calendarist) and biggest old calendarist denomination.
- I must say that I am myself not a member of this synod, nor of the church of Greece, nor have any conflict of interest with it. Haidouk1453 (talk) 07:29, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
