Next Ukrainian presidential election
Why did you decide to drop Zelenskyy from the list of potential candidates for the next Ukrainian presidential election? Strictly speaking he has said in the interview "If [stressing on that "if"] we finish the war with Russians, yes, I am ready not to go [that "not to go" sounded a bit fishy] because it is not my goal, elections" This was a conditional statement, first of all. Then, in the other interviews he was not dropping the possibility of going for the second term. Then his public support remains to be strong, the electorate continue to consider him for the post. Then perhaps he should, for now, remain in the list of potential candidates, with a proper remark? 22:13, 8 October 2025 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A78:1364:A504:B19F:2E27:6A27:5572 (talk • contribs)
- Hi, I dropped Zelenskyy from the list because I did in fact quickly interpret his statement as an absolute. My mistake was not reading the interview (and not taking into account other interviews he's done) thoroughly and quickly assuming he's dropping for good after the war. I'm not opposed at all to putting him back in the candidate list and I agree with you. Not sure what a proper remark could be regarding his statement, if you're referring to the "Comment" section.
