Hi. If you want to add functionality to templates, as you attempted to do to {{infobox musical artist}}, but actually only edited its documentation (reverted now), you should start a discussion on the template's talk page, or experiment (not too wildly) in the template's sandbox to establish a proof-of-concept first.
