I've signed up to edit Wikipedia articles and thought I would have a bash at the dead links.  The first one I tried was for Eduardo Kac -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduardo_Kac.  The dead link is at the very bottom of the page. I checked the link and got this error message "Ruffle failed to load Flash SWF file. Access to fetch has likely been blocked by CORS policy." I've tried several other dates but keep getting the same error message.  Any thoughts as to how I can approach this problem?

Interesting. I do see that this is the site, but it is for the Wayback Machine. We have noted this is a dead link.

The original link was to:

Hi @LewisMetadata, and welcome! Typically we don't want to remove dead links, because the URL of the link might still be helpful in some way to find the content. In this case, it's not being used as a citation, but just in the external links section, so you can then just use your judgement on whether this is a problem anyone is ever going to be able to solve, and whether any value to readers exists in keeping it. I went to the archive.org link myself and found that the swf file in question is digitalarti.com/files/ebooks/digitalarti_mag_2.swf, and that this swf file was not archived by IA. I don't think this is something that is ever likely to turn up (and browsers block Flash these days anyway) so I would simply remove it. Thanks for your help!
