thank you @Tacyarg! that's much appreciated about the Teahouse, I'll be sure to use that next time I'm unsure on a page. I was working on a suggested edit page yesterday, and I thought the article lacked notability, I edited it the best I could but actually thought it should potentially be marked for deletion. Is the Teahouse the best place for me to raise this? Liverbird12 (talk) 11:21, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for replying. Is that the Jay Mac article? I agree it looks a bit thin, but haven't searched for sources to see if there's anything to add. You could certainly ask at the Teahouse, yes; my guess is they might suggest the articles for deletion process. I'll see if I can have a look at the article later today. Yes exactly, that's the article! It came up on my suggested edits and was written so self-promoting and most of the cited sources were just to general homepages that didn't mention Jay Mac.
Also, just had a look at your user page and saw the "To-do list", that's a super smart idea. Liverbird12 (talk) 15:20, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your message. I've had a search for sources (this is called WP:BEFORE in the context of nominating articles for deletion) and not found anything except one local paper article. Three pieces of significant coverage is usually what I look for to see if someone is notable. I've tagged the article with notability concerns. I'm happy to take it to AfD if you like, or if you want to I would support that.
Thanks for the comment about the to-do list! Userpages are helpful for keeping that kind of note for oneself.
Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 08:59, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
