Information icon Hello, I'm LuniZunie. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Pedro Fernández de Castro, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. LuniZunie(talk) 14:13, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

That would be perfect. As I am still new to editing Wikipedia, I occasionally encounter some difficulties. The changes I have made are primarily intended to correct names and titles that were spelled in the incorrect language (Spanish instead of Galician-Portuguese). I believe these linguistic corrections are self-evident; however, I can provide primary sources from medieval Galician-Portuguese databases, such as the Corpus Xelmirez, where these individuals appear in their original contemporary forms. Additionally, I have addressed the title 'Toda la Lealtad de España,' which is now widely understood to be a modern forgery: The alleged epitaph carries a suspicious 19th-century air; it seems highly unlikely that such a concept would have occurred to anyone at the time. References to 'loyalty to Spain' in the 14th century are deeply anachronistic and, in any case, entirely misplaced when referring to the House of Castro. (Armesto, Victoria (1969). Galicia Feudal (en castelán). Galaxia. p. 351. ISBN 8471541874.) Migdeub (talk) 14:46, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
@Migdeub Sounds good, adding the sources would be great, as we use the WP:COMMONNAME rather than the "correct" name. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. LuniZunie(talk) 14:51, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
I will add the bibliography later. Regarding the naming criteria, the main issue is that we are inadvertently reproducing incorrect concepts and names. As the Wikipedia guidelines suggest, we should try to maintain the "natural" name or at least use a direct translation into English from the source language, rather than through a third language like Spanish. Doing so would be equivalent to referring to Philip II of France as 'Felipe II de Francia' in an English-language article. The same logic should apply to epithets. Not arguing your take is wrong, just making sure you know for future. LuniZunie(talk) 15:07, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
