Wendell Brown-related article AfD
You may be interested in this discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Happiness Becomes You. This article appears to have been written by the same people that wrote the now-deleted Wendell Brown and Craig Taro Gold articles, and seems to have been created expressly to provide citation support to those now-deleted articles. - Be careful as this can be considered canvassing for votes unless you sent similar messages to those who voted keep on those other articles. Don't want you to get in trouble. MrAureliusRYell at me! 05:28, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out. My intent was just to flag a potentially related case, not to influence the outcome. I’ve reviewed WP:CANVASS and will be sure to keep future notifications strictly neutral. Dharmabumstead (talk) 07:59, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Cool. Yeah it basically comes down to how you worded the notification. That plus the fact I advertise myself as a deletionist Wikipedian, and it could come off badly when I'm assuming that you just wanted another pair of eyes on it. I'm going to actually avoid voting just to avoid any issues. But good luck removing cruft! It's an uphill battle a lot of the time. MrAureliusRYell at me! 08:24, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Well, thanks again for the heads up, and the discretion in staying out of the voting. I'm pretty much done tilting at this windmill myself.
- I'm relatively new to Wikipedia, and generally only venture down the Wiki process rabbit hole when I see what I think is abuse of NPOV or PAID or COI, which seems likely to be the case here. In spite of its sketchy origins and obvious WP:TMI, it does seem to pass WP:NOTE (especially if you squint and ignore the "no flap copy or promo content" part of WP:NOTE), so based on that alone the article is likely to stay put. ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:28, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
