Medal help?
Hello, I see that you have been quite active in the British campaign medal space recently.
Would you enjoy taking on a full project?
I have created the page for Punitive Expeditions Medal, as I stumbled across it while in this long edit journey for Claude Dansey.
I will also be creating the page British North Borneo Constabulary soon enough.
I would greatly appreciate your fact-checking my work on this medal, and as well possibly sorting out whether the naming convention is correct. I'm beginning to think that the name is the name of a clasp and not a medal, but it's very confusing. There are also several red links on the page that need building, as well. - Apologies for the slow reply. Happy to help. 'Punitive Expeditions' was the second of three clasps to the British North Borneo Company Medal, the others being 'Punitive Expedition' and 'Rundum'. The Tambunan campaign against Mat Salleh was recognised by another British North Borneo Company Medal with the clasp 'Tambunan'. A third medal - British North Borneo Company General Service Medal 1937-1941 was awarded for meritorious service and (once) for gallantry (to schoolboy Leong Yew Pong) in the period before the Second World War up to the Japanese invasion. In addition, there was the British North Borneo Company Bravery Cross. There's a fair bit about these online in various places and in Medal Yearbook by Token Publishing. Good luck with the work!
